Soft Board

Softboard is a board made using wood fibers. The fibers used to make a softboard contain the natural substance lignin which causes the fibers to stay together. There is no extra glue added. The board sheets are made from the wet fibers. The boards are dried without being pressed.
Softboard is penetrable which makes it easy to absorb sound. It is moisture sensitive. After undergone additional treatments softboards can be made moisture-proof and fireproof.
Softboards are mainly used for soundproofing rooms and also used for making bulletin boards.
